Project Description:

The Upton Community Center is a new facility of 15,132 square feet to house the Upton Town Library and the Council on Aging, at an estimated project cost of $12.4 million.

Located at 9 Milford Street, the facility includes a redesigned playground and shared parking with the adjacent VFW.

First Concrete Poured

The excavation on the west side is complete and the first concrete was poured on Jan 13.

By Jan 18, more framing is installed with rebar ready for concrete on the north west corner near Milford Street.

More foundations are laid along the south and east sides, while excavation work continues.

Clearing of the lower nature playground area has begun with earth being removed.  The shape of the new playground is visible, but the area is not yet leveled.
